AWKWARD

I was talking to a friend recently. For our purposes, we will call him BOB. We were talking about funny awkward things we say and do. He told me about a question he asked a man who came into church Sunday.

BOB said,
A homeless man came to church Sunday, and I was reaching out trying to make him feel wanted and loved. In an attempt to get to know him I asked him what his profession was. He looked at me and said well I haven't been working in a while. WOW! AWKWARD! OK, what do I say now?!

OK, I know I have times when things just POP out, so it is easy to feel bad for BOB. I know that feeling, but how funny!

There was one funny time when the clerk at the airport asked Ray Charles if she could see his drivers license...

Hysterical! I wish I could think of one awkward time, but I have to many to list. Very disconcerting.

He mentioned that in a letter I got today. Poor Bob.

I can totally relate to this. Especially this last year - I just say the dumbest things to people.
